“How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” - Psalm 119:103

When the psalms were written, honey was considered a delicacy. It was the staple food for sweetness, so the ancient context of this verse is even more passionate than we may realize. However, when it mentions the taste of God's words, this psalm isn't talking about the physical taste of the paper and ink in a Bible, it’s describing the sweet wisdom that we can receive from our Heavenly Father.

We see that the psalmist is very excited about this, and we can be just as excited to soak up his word through time spent in the Bible and his presence!
